After opening the first ORG-MARKET and nefthub.ru office at the end of 2020, Irina Belova, the Project Manager in ORG-MARKET, spoke on behalf of the oil products marketplace.
She argued that Skolkovo not only provides invaluable support to startups at early stages but also creates an environment for their development. To be a part of the tech city requires non-stop growth and improvement. To achieve this, the innovation center provides everything a startup could possibly need.
The platform brings together producers and consumers as an affiliate of Oil Resurs Grupp, so it is no surprise, that fuel became its first selling product. Although oil refineries have remained the key customers, the list also includes real estate developers and shipping companies – the companies requiring fuel for their daily operations.
Both sides find the platform services extremely useful. The producers can sell their products without letting the price go below the market average, while the customers can buy at a fair price. On average, the marketplace helps to lower the fuel price by 10%.
At first, the ORG-MARKET project was financially dependent on Oil Resurs Grupp, but in 2021 the former plans to recruit investors and submit grant applications.
The company strategy goes even further, stretching up to 2022. The 2020 plans have already come true. During the meeting with nefthub.ru in November, Ms. Belova promised, that by the end of December the personnel count will grow three times (from 10 to 30 employees). The growth was mostly due to the new software engineers, hired last year.
Having opened the new office, the company plans to engage 200 more people. Some of them would be the sales force, but the main intention is to expand the developer team. It will be them who would occupy the second office facility.
The new facility is not just 700m2 of freshly renovated space, it is an opportunity for the company to reach new heights and implement changes waiting to happen for about six months.
The key element of the changes is a completely rebuilt HR policy. It was decided to take a new approach to select candidates. Also, the motivation policy for the sales force has changed profoundly. The new goal is to increase the volume and quality of sales.
First and foremost, the ORG-MARKET employees are a team. Every team is built upon unity, understanding of the common goal, and a sense of belonging. The document also defines the advantages of working on the project.
